Dan Hopwood // Composer - Example - Silent Night (Daisy & Ollie Christmas Special)

For this section of the Daisy & Ollie Christmas Special, as the characters walk through a Christmas Market, we had to recreate a section of Christmas Carollers singing Silent Night. For this I wrote an arrangement of Silent Night for the main cast to sing over, before recording this arrangement with a local choir group. I then mixed and mastered this ready for the dub. ‘Daisy & Ollie’ is a pre-school series encouraging young children to be curious and question the world around them. An exciting question will arise as the children play, one they simply must find out the answer to. These questions can range from the sublime to the ridiculous, from the serious to the silly… and everything in between. The Christmas Special: Daddy is so busy working on a Christmas song for Gary Barlow, that he just doesn&have time to enjoy Christmas this year! Can Daisy, Ollie, Whizzy and Boo restore Daddy&Christmas Spirit in time for the big day, and will he manage to write a song for Gary to perform at the Christmas Eve concert?! It&going to take a Christmas miracle!
