2004 Removing Starter Honda Element (part 1)

There are 2 ways to get to, and replace a starter on a 2004 Honda element. Here is the first. GOING FRONT THE TOP ***insure (if need to) get the radio code*** **disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery and make sure it is not going to connect to the battery*** PARTS: (only to this vehicle) TOOLS: step 1: You would start by removing the top panel covering the hood latch, followed by removing the (4) 10mm bolts holding the top crossbar. step 2: After that you&need to go under the front of the vehicle and remove the &engine bottom cover the one with the arrow. (You&need a panel popper tool and a 10mm socket. then remove the lower brace bolt (1) 10mm) step 3: Remove the wiring harness from the brace, top and middle. (be sure not to brake the clips holding the harness you&need to put the harness back so the wires don&get caught in the fans.) step 4: Leaving the hood latch and components attached lift up the brace and place it between the firewall and engine (out of the way) step 5: Remove 1 part of the intake hoses attached to the intake manifold( be sure to place off to the side) step 6: remove the air intake tube from the air box and throttle body (2) 5.5mm/philips disconnect any electrical connection plugs. (push down on their tabs and gently wiggle to remove from receiver end) and place the tube off to the side step 7: Remove the (4) 12mm bolts and (2) 12mm nuts holding the intake manifold to the block *including the (1) 12mm bolt and (1) 12mm nut from...
