If Sonic Battle Was A Proper 2D Fighting Game - Sonic Battle Rush - SAGE '23 Demo

You can download the demo from the SAGE 23 playlist: You know me, if a Sonic fangame has Sonic Advance sprites, chances are I&gonna play it even for the nostalgia factor alone lol. This is a really cool demo for a Sonic Battle 2D fighting game concept. It&really impressive since it actually uses the moveset from Sonic Battle but repurposed into a 2D fighter. Despite using only 2 characters, Sonic and Shadow, they feel distinct enough and genuinely the fighting system is really well thought out. I labbed the game in the training options for about 40 minutes or so before hitting record to learns some basic movement for each character and optimal combos, more so with Sonic since you can see my Shadow is lacking. I&sure that in adapt hands, you can pull off some crazy combos with both characters. CPU was set to the highest difficulty for more engaging gameplay, but at that difficulty, it&obvious the CPU AI has input detection since it almost always guesses my moves or when I try to jab during a jump in but can&combo in time.
