San Diego: Fashion Valley Mall Incident 03312023

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-31-23 7:50 pm LOCATION: Fashion Valley Mall in Mission Valley CITY: San Diego DETAILS: A mall security guard called the Police to report that 2 males in a Chrysler 300 were chasing him with a gun. There was a report of a smash & grab at Nordstrom’s, and the suspect fired 2 shots at the security. Stores started to shut down, and people were running as phone calls were made about an active shooter. Police responded in force and surrounded the JC-Penny and then the Nordstrom store. The Nordstrom part was completely unfounded. Security video showed two black males running from Nordstrom and leaving in the Chrysler.
