Grand Prix 3 by Microprose/Hasbro Interactive, 2000. I&running Grand Prix 3 in software graphics mode, rather than Direct3D, to show the differences (compare to Grand Prix 3 2000 Season later on in this playlist, for which I&use Direct3D). In short: software mode doesn&have the infamous "pink strip" bug on tyres, plus has different lighting effects, where all surfaces reflect the sunlight. This is vastly toned down in the Direct3D version. 1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 It&quite easy to trip over the computer controlled cars (or they trip over each other, as shown in the chicane here!), which makes it feel a bit more natural. 2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:40 Spray effects are not too bad, but they do die off quickly. However the TV camera view zooming on the backdrop looks pretty pixelated. Note how there&dry track under the bridge! Grand Prix 2 had no rain, so this was a huge improvement! 3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:55 As you approach the Monaco tunnel, and after it, you can...
