The new Trailsport trim adds mild off-road ruggedness to the newly refreshed 2022 Honda Passport Trailsport (same as 2023), but the minor upgrades do help this midsize SUV feel a little more at home on easier trails or in Canadian winters. Being a small midsize SUV the Honda Passport does not offer a third-row, yet when compared to the all-new Honda CR-V the Passport does offer a naturally aspirated V6 that gives it a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs, far exceeding that of many rivals! But at over $50,000, the mid-trim Honda Passport Trailsport clocks in at roughly $10,000 more than a well-optioned CR-V. Is the increase in towing capacity and storage worth the upgrade, or does the aging interior of the Passport make rivals such as the Kia Telluride or Chevrolet Traverse a better choice for buyers?
