Monster STOL - Custom-built STOL CH 750 Super Duty

Zenith Aircraft&Sebastien Heintz chats with Jan Eggenfellner about Viking Aircraft Engines&custom kit-built STOL CH 750 Super Duty, named the "Monster STOL," and equipped with a custom-built prototype landing gear developed specifically for competitive STOL flying (to demonstrate very short take-off and landing distances) and powered by a 195-hp turbocharged Honda Accord automotive engine conversion with a large diameter DUC propeller. “It’s fun and wacky,” is how Heintz first described the Monster STOL, adding that "experimental" (amateur-built) aviation allows builders and pilots to customize their aircraft for their intended purposes, promoting innovation in light aviation. The family resemblance between the STOL CH 750 Super Duty (SD) and the original STOL CH 750 light-sport aircraft is obvious, but the Super Duty offers a much increased useful load, the addition of a jump seat in the big rear cabin area, and more powerful engine choices for maximum short take-off and landing (STOL) capability. Like its predecessors, the STOL CH 750 SD offers extraordinary STOL performance. The factory demonstrator aircraft can take off in only 115 feet with 205 horsepower.
