Follow me! ______________________________ Any attempt of describing Mr. Montgomery’s playing is useless… not only because of how transcendent has been his path through the years and among jazz players but because of his perfect timing, diction and frasing. He is considered one of the greatests if not “the” greatest jazz guitar player ever.  One of the most influential guitarists of the twentieth century, beyond musical types of music, Montgomery was known for an unusual technique of plucking the strings with the side of his thumb and his extensive use of octaves, which gave him a distinctive sound. I’ve been recently studying this piece that I present to you today and trying to emulate his style as much as I’ve could, here is the result. Thanks again. B.Bob.
