PHD2 Guiding on an Alt Az mount - yes you can do it! Celestron SLT Astro Fi

One thing that comes up a lot when I push my images online is that I guide. And I guide with an Alt-Az mount (as opposed to an EQ mount). The simple truth of the matter is you can do it, and it&quite simple to achieve. PHD2 is made to work with EQ mounts so the results are never going to be perfect, combined with the fact that Alt-Az mounts tend to be at the budget end of the market, means that the results are workable at best.
