In this Video I take a Rockrider 520 St from Decathlon and actually see if it&worth the title mountainbike and if it&worth the money. Instagram: lifeof_maik -----Text------- This is a mountain…-ish bike let’s call it mountainbike for this video. I would even go so far to say that this is the most bought mountainbike in Europe. This is the Btwin/Rockrider ST 520 from Decathlon, the ST stand for sports trail. It’s their home brand and retails for 299,99€. It comes in four different colours one of them is a female version with a shorter stem and gearing. But does this bike deserve the title mountainbike? Let’s start off with the components. The bike is available in 3 sometimes in 4 colours, grey green, yellow green, and grey black blue. The Frame is Aluminum and has a B-twin sticker on it, the newer models have Rockrider written on them. To be precise it’s a 6061 Aluminium frame With a 27,2 mm seat tube, which you can adjust with a quick release lever with a 73.5 degree seat angle and a 69,5 headangle in size L. It has no rear suspension since it’s a hardtail but has an 80mm front SR Sun tour XCT Fork the newer models have a btwin ufit fork, you can adjust the spring with the preload dial, on newer models you get a display to set your weight to so your suspension works the best for you. The Wheels are fairly modern 27,5 inch wheels, Btwin allterrain 2 inch wide tyres, with double walled aerotrail rims 25 spokes per wheel, a generic hub and a Hayes 160mm disc brake rotor.
