The Komplete Kontrol range of keyboards have been designed to allow for comprehensive control over Native Instruments software such as Komplete and Maschine, but that said, they will also integrate seamlessly with other popular DAWs such as Logic Pro X, Ableton, and Garageband. The M32 is the smallest and most affordable model in the Komplete Kontrol range, but it still provides a full range of control options. To keep the size down, it features 32 mini keys, but that is still half an octave more than on the 25 note keyboards on our list, there’s 2 assignable touch sensitive strips to add expression to your playing and 8 touch sensitive knobs, which out of the box are pre-mapped to the most useful controls on all of your Komplete and NKS plugins. There’s also a really handy OLED display, giving you a crystal clear visual indication of the parameters you’re adjusting, so you don’t have to keep looking up at your computer screen. A 4 directional push button encoder allows for easy navigation of your software, and a pretty extensive transport button section gives you pretty powerful control over your recording software, and this includes shortcut buttons to tempo and quantise options as well as metronome and undo functions.
