Shooting the iconic Ruger AC556 select fire machine gun! Many of us grew up watching the A-Team television show that aired from 1983-1987. While the rifles used in the show were Ruger Mini&or Mini-14GBs, there is just something special about the platform, and being able to own a AC556, the select fire variant of the Mini-14 is just fun. First created in 1979, the Ruger AC556 was Bill Ruger&attempt to break into the Law Enforcement market by providing a weapon that allowed agencies that ability ti purchase a select fire weapon without having to adopt the M-16 made popular in Vietnam. Featuring a semi auto, 3 round burst and full automatic capability, the rifle is very versatile and worked well in many communities already familiar with the Mini-14 as a ranch rifle. The machine gun originally came blued with a 18" barrel and was later offered in stainless steel (the K model) with a folding stock and 13" barrel (The F model). The gun didn&offer a very high degree of accuracy, maintaining about 2 MOA at 100 yards, and the longer barrel heated up quickly and experienced an even greater decline in accuracy, but the 13" model shown here did pretty well in both categories. Up until 2009, Ruger continued to service these rifles under a lifetime warranty and they have always been a very collectable and desirable transferable machine gun. This version features a rate of fire of about 750 rounds per minute. 00:00 Ruger AC556 03:45 semi auto firing of the Ruger AC556 03:52 Three...
