Review and how to use the AVerMedia Live Gamer Ultra GC553 capture card. Live stream video games or record video games from your console. The LGU (Live Gamer Ultra) can capture games all the way up to 4K 30fps (fps = Frames Per Second). But it can also do 2K 60fps, 1080p120fps, and even 1080p60fps HDR (plus more like 720p etc..) And it includes Pass-Through to your TV or gaming monitor up to 4K 60fps HDR, or even 1080p240fps. The LGU also supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for Windows users. Be sure to update the Firmware to get VRR if you don&have it. Setup is pretty much plug & play. You can use the LGU with Mac or Windows. And you can record or stream using OBS Studio, Streamlabs, other similar apps, or the free AVerMedia RECentral (RECentral Express for Mac). I&a big fan of using OBS or Streamlabs just because I&used them forever, but RECentral is worth checking out. RECentral makes it VERY easy to capture game play or stream, without all the hard-to-understand settings in OBS. There are some benefits to using RECentral over OBS, so take a few days and try it out. The built-in tutorial will show you everything you need to know. Overall, the Live Gamer Ultra is a GREAT capture card for those who want to record/stream gameplay from their console.
