Subduing System Errors
While adding a physical disk to VMware virtual machine, on a Windows host, one may get an error stating "Insufficient permission to access file". This is due to VMware not having access rights on the disk. The simplest way is to run VMware as an Administrator. Running as Administrator should give all the necessary access permission. This is great if the system is used by the administrator account only. But if there are standard user accounts too, then for them, one with the admin rights has to set access permissions for other users as per the requirement. This video covers the solution to the "Insufficient permission to access file" issue. There are pretty good chances that following this solution would resolve your issue. This video is a separate coverage of one of the errors that were faced while installing Windows OS using a bootable flash drive instead of using a bootable ISO file. The link to that video is: I hope you find your problem resolved. Thank you.
