How to Boot to a VM to a USB Flash Drive in VMware Workstation

If you need to boot a VMware Workstation virtual machine to a bootable USB flash drive, there is no built-in option to do so. Fortunately, there is an easy way around this, and it only takes a few steps to get your VM setup to boot from your USB disk. Just be sure to run VMware Workstation as administrator otherwise you might get an error that says VMware workstation failed to load partitions for device. insufficient permission to access file when choosing your disk.
