Computer = Asus Republic of Gamers G56JK-DH71 GPU = GTX 850m 2 GB DDR3 The purpose of this video is to showcase how to overclock the GTX 850m to get up to 30% performance gain to match the GTX 860m in framerate in some games. To clarify what I said about overclocking the core yielding little benefit, I ran a test to see how much of a difference it made. Using Performance Test Directx11, Overclocking the Core Clock by +50 gave only .8 extra frames per second where as overclocking the memory by +249 gave about 8 extra frames per second. However, if you have the gtx 850m with GDDR5 or the gtx 860m, I recommend you overclock the memory only slightly and focus more on the core clock. Also, an artifact is basically something in the game that should not be there. If you see weird colors or anything abnormal in the game that you are playing then you are experiencing an artifact and you want to lower the memory clock. You can use FXAA on the gtx 850m just fine but do not use too much MSAA. It will eat at your memory bandwidth and drop your framerate a lot.
