5.11 Emergency Ready Bag 6L Review

Picked up 5.11’s Emergency Ready 6L Bag in black and outfitted it for a vehicle trauma kit for the Jeep. Prior to loading it out for trauma, I used it to carry a bunch of survival tools and gear for skills training. The multiple slip style pockets made it easy to organize like items together to rapidly locate the needed gear. The ability to unzip to almost 270° clamshell opening allows access to everything and a quick inventory of the bag. If you have to move quickly you can grab the top handles and be confident you will secure most of its contents. This bag comes in the right size to carry enough med supplies to deal with a single or double vehicle accident without being a full blown EMT size trauma duffle bag. Plus it is small enough to fit in the odd corners of most vehicles or under the rear seat in a pickup. This bag was definitely created/designed with the “Always Be Ready” mindset. It comes in blue with red handles (which I would have preferred for this application) when in stock and retails for $59.99.
