With the newest Windows 11 update, Internet Explorer finally bit the dust. It&gone forever. For the most part, this is great news. No one&really going to miss this slow and outdated browser. No one, that is, except for those of us in the video surveillance industry. Before Windows 11, we still had to use Internet Explorer because it was the only browser that could support the plugins needed to make our camera and recorder interfaces work properly. If you&tried accessing these interfaces through Edge, you may have run across a message like this: "This version of browser does not support plug-ins. Some functions will not be available." But now that Internet Explorer is gone for good, are we up a creek without a paddle? Not exactly. Thankfully Microsoft left a hidden paddle for us: Internet Explorer Mode. In this video, we&walk you through setting up Microsoft Edge to work with your Internet Explorer plugins. This is a pretty convenient feature if you use Edge, since you can now access your camera and recorder feeds directly within a modern browser. Check out the video and let us know if you run into any issues! *********************************** ? 855.340.9999 ⬇️ Follow Us on Social Media ⬇️
