How to Fix Missing Tray Error on Jura Coffee Machine

My visual description on how to fix the Missing tray error on your Jura Coffee Machine. Mine is the J5 Impressa. The demonstration shows the part to clean which is the 2 electrodes at the back of the tray. In my example they are already clean. Be sure to clean them thoroughly inside. Its the build up of muck inside the tray that gets on the electrode and makes the machine believe that the water level is at the top and that is what triggers the message to empty the tray (even though you already emptied it). Hope this helps. 2023 follow up - This machine is still making great coffees after all these years! I wipe the 2 metal connectors with a tissue or paper towel every time I empty out the tray. Have never had the error again since the past 5 years.
