HOW TO HARVEST & STORE LEMONGRASS

I show you how I harvest lemongrass 3 ways and store them in order to have a supply for the winter. If you live in a cooler region prone to frost, you might be thinking about bringing a lot of your favorite tropical herbs and plants in. Lemongrass can be grown indoors during but they need a lot of sunlight and warmth to be vigorous, otherwise they will just go dormant under the right conditions. Because I have east facing windows that get limited sunlight each day, the lemongrass won&grow well in my home. Instead, I like to harvest them and store them several ways so that I have a nice supply all winter until the weather warms up the following season. Each way I prepare the lemongrass is used for a different application of cooking, consuming. I hope you enjoy this video.
