Yamaha SCR950 Review

In this episode, I am doing a ride review on Yamaha&2017 SCR950. This is a new purchase with only 2,267 miles. This bike is factory stock with the addition of a battery tender lead. In 2017 Yamaha introduced the SCR950 as a retro-styled, scrambler-type motorcycle based on the popular Bolt 950. Aside from the beautiful "flat tracker" styling, the SCR got knobby tires, dirt bike style handlebar, longer travel suspension, a taller seat height with a long, flat, vintage-style seat and a new rear sub frame. The 950cc motor remains the same and has useable power throughout the rpm range. As with the original "scrambler" motorcycles of the mid 1970&the SCR950 is still a street bike that you can ride on the occasional gravel road - not a dedicated off-roader with lights! On-road handling is great, power output is accessible with plenty of torque, long haul comfort is only hampered by a somewhat narrow and firm seat, and the brakes decent.
