The 115th Kabardino-Balkarian Cavalry Division (at the time of its formation, the 115th Independent Cavalry Division) was a military unit of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War. It was formed in the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in December 1941. In the summer and fall of 1942, the division, as part of the 51st Army, participated in battles to repel the offensive of the Wehrmacht forces toward Stalingrad and the North Caucasus. It fought in the area between the Don and Volga rivers. The division was directly involved in combat on the outskirts of Rostov-on-Don: in Bolshaya and Malaya Martynovka, near the villages of Probuzhdenie and Remontnoye, in the area of the Novo-Nikolaevskaya stanitsa (Cossack settlement), near the Tsimlyanskaya stanitsa in Rostov Oblast, and in the area of the village of Tsagan-Nur in Kalmykia. The division was disbanded in October 1942 after suffering irreplaceable losses amounting to two-thirds of its personnel. 115-я Кабардино-Балкарская кавалерийская дивизия (на момент формирования 115-я отдельная кавалерийская дивизия) — воинское соединение РККА в годы Великой Отечественной войны.
