Dell&G-Series laptops truly lead the way for budget gaming laptops. The G3 is thinner than the the G7 and has more subdued looks so is ideal for someone who tavels and wants to have affordable gaming. It also has a thunderbolt 3 port so for $750-$800 the i5 8300h/ GTX 1060 version of the G3 15" is an absolute bargain. My model has 8 GB of DDR4 2666 Mhz RAM running dual channel and a 5400 rpm hard drive with 8 GB Cache. I measure clock rates, temperatures as well as frame rates in several games.
