Line Laser Distance Sensor using ROS and openCV

In the video the prototype of the head of my future Hexapod is shown. The head uses a laser line sensor and a usb camera as a distance sensor. ROS Hydro in combination with openCV is used. In the video I forgot to mention that I use a 635nm Laser line filter to get a better contrast of the laser line. That&the reason why the raw image data are red.
