Film actor and musician Caleb Landry Jones was named Best Actor at the 74th Cannes Film Festival. This decision was announced on Saturday by the jury of the show, led by American director Spike Lee, at the solemn ceremony of announcing the winners at the Palais des Festivals on the Croisette. Jones received the award for his role in Justin Kurzel&film Nitram. The main program of the festival consisted of 24 films. Actor and musician, known for his roles as Banshee in X-Men: First Class, Jeremy Armitage in Get Out, Red Welby in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Ty Carter in The Outpost. Jones was born on December 7, 1989 in Garland, Texas to Cindy and Patrick Jones, and grew up near Richardson, where he moved with his family as a child, and where he later formed an experimental folk rock band, Robert Jones, with Robert Hudson.
