Anyway, Michael&mother is Mrs Emily. Yes  this is an au change. But William and Darla never loved each other. Both of their rich families just set them up. Although they only thought of themselves as childhood bestfriends. They met Henry at collge together and Darla started developing feelings for him. And after William & Darla reluctantly agreed to the marriage, deep down they had nothing for each other. While Henry was devastated by this news himself. And after the marriage things changed between William & Darla. They were hardly the bestfriends they used to be. They kept getting at each others throats frequently.  And it was quite toxic. But they had no choice but to have a kid because of their parents pressure. That&when they had Michael. Then later when Michael was about 5 years old, William & Henry left for France for a business trip and William ended up meeting Laurel/Mrs afton at a bar. They hung out and started to fall in love. And somehow Laurel got pregnant for Evan/CC. William was honestly happy about it because it ment that he could finally divorce Darla and Marry laurel because he knew his parents would agree to save their family reputation. When they got back, they told Darla everything and she freaked out. But William suggested that they divorce and she gets to marry Henry...
