The driving lights and high beams on the new Actros consist of two separate reflectors. Both reflectors are therefore adjusted separately. Switch on the engine and set the vehicle to driving height. Switch on all lights. Read off the headlamp deflection from the model plate on the B-pillar. It is 12.5 cm in this case. Open the maintenance flap at the front of the vehicle. Align the headlamp aimer to the two screws underneath it. The screws must match up with the line in the tester. Remove the headlamp trim with a socket. On the new Actros, the two separate reflectors are adjusted via screws. These are located behind the panel. On the predecessor model, the driving lights and high beams share one reflector. Adjustment is performed via the 2 screws highlighted in blue above the headlamp. The front fog lamp is adjusted separately, highlighted yellow here. On the new Actros, the driving light and high beam are adjusted separately. The driving light is adjusted via the two screws above the headlamp (red). The high beam is adjusted via the two side screws (green). Nothing has changed for the front fog lamp. Set the tester to 12.5 for the driving lights and high beams as per the model plate. Align the tester and first check the driving light. Check the adjustment. The dividing line and broken line should match up with the central mark.
