Chopin - Polonaise No.14 in G-sharp minor Op. posth.

Recorded today, another of Chopin&youthful polonaises. This is the one in G sharp minor OP. posth. Depending on which source you consult, is is thought to have been written in either 1822 or 1824. Some musicologists question these dates because this work, although youthful, seems to indicate a later period in Chopin&work. If Chopin truly wrote this aged 12 or 14, he was hardly less a Wunderkind than Mozart ! I love this elegant and glittering Polonaise, even if it&admittedly not vintage Chopin. The piece bears the inscription "Dédiée a Madame Dupont" (Mme. Dupont was probably a member of a family Chopin knew in Warsaw).
