The Supershape Titan has been in the Head&line-up for a very long time, but now it has a totally new system inside, to deal with vibrations in the ski that can have a detrimental impact on your skiing. Head terms these &vibrations'. The EMC uses a piezoceramic layer, paired up with a Graphene resistor interface to dampen out these vibrations. The piezoceramic layers converts the vibrations into electrical energy, which is then dealt with by the Graphene resistor system. The ski has EMC in front of and behind the binding and is used across all of the new Supershape skis: e-Original, e-Speed, e-Magnum, e-Rally and e-Titan, as well many of the Rebels race skis, and the Prestige and Premium models (these are basically toned-down colourways of the e-Speed and e-Rally, giving more of a premium look for that type of consumer). Aksel Lund Svindal describes this new innovation in this test video. The geometry of all the Supershape skis has changed for this winter too, with narrower tips on all models, as well as wider waists on the e-Rally (was 76, now 78mm) and this e-Titan (was 80, now 84mm). The Titan still has a full woodcore, made of poplar, rather than the fir & beech of the Magnum. Poplar is used as this ski would too heavy if it had fir & beech in a footprint this large. There’s a full later of Titanal metal below and above. There&also a layer of graphene under the binding area of the ski, which sits above the core. The tip rocker on the Titan is longer than others in the...
