Техника для дома: секреты выбора и эксплуатации
When I watched this video(*) of Catalina Vicens playing the Rondeau by Carson Cooman, I almost immediately fell in love with the idea of carrying a small pipe organ around with me. As if it would have been a coincidence, Wolkenstayn, the German manufacturer of these instruments, is located nearby with just under an hour of a car ride away, so I decided to somewhat "prepare" for a portable organ like this with a reduced keyboard compass and rather "unusual" temperament and tuning. This experiment resulted in a set of seven rather short improvisations in Gothic/medieval style (most of them in d-Dorian mode). All of them feature the Metz G.O. 4&Octave as a solo stop, a base pitch of a=466Hz and Pythagorean temperament. The utilized keyboard compass ranges from c on the small octave to e&with the small c# being omitted (28 tones), which is exactly the range that my (hopefully) future intrument will provide. #Improvisation Current versions of Media Player Classic are able to properly play multi-channel FLAC files. Like all my other recordings, the music is completely improvised, so there is no sheet music available.
