EMG 81 vs DiMarzio "Steve's Special"

I swapped the pickups of my Jackson Pro Rhoads from active to passive. Good opportunity for a little comparison between the two bridge pickups. Jump to 2.30 if you want to skip the intro talk on gear and the bla bla. As always there&the question whether or not the active pickups sound lifeless and compressed - judge for yourself. Both pickups have ceramic magnets, apart from that they are kinda different: Very bright and mid heavy (EMG) vs. mid scoop (Steve&Special). The guitar is a Jackson Pro RRTMG Randy Rhoads (maple neck, ebony fretboard, alder body, neck through). The amp is a Yamaha THR 100 using the modern setting which resembles the Mesa/Boogie style sound. No further mixing on the sound, no compressor, no EQ, nothing. Pure, raw, edgy.
