Here is the composer demo to "For the First Time in Forever," written by husband and wife team, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Kristen Anderson-Lopez also sings this demo. As per usual, the sequence in the final film has been synced up to the demo. Composed relatively late in production, it was written a mere five months before the film&November 27, 2013 release date in June 2013. Originally, the song contained the line "I hope that I don&vomit in his face," which was deemed unacceptable by Disney as a reference to bodily fluids. The Lopezes&daughter, Katie, came up with the replacement line "I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face" which made it to the final film.
