Reef tank update 2022. This is my another reef tank update. It is the end of December 2022, meaning that in about two months, my aquarium will be 3 years old. The first ongoing problem I had for many, many months was a RO water. Not only I spoke with many people and watch many videos about it but I also spent lots of money to try different recommendations and nothing was working. Probably the fact I have my aquarium in the industrial area, perhaps water here is worse than everywhere else, I don know but certainly none of the recommendations I have been given actually worked for me. So I decided not to listen to anyone and tried to experiment myself, and only then I managed to get to the point that my water can be produced at 0 ppm for a considerable period of time.I have never seen the setup as I have, and many people will say that I have over done it, but this is the way it works for me. I would rather spend £200 more for the set up and have easier life later than not spend it and struggle like I have been for good few months. The second lesson I learned was to do with a filtration system. When I set up my first sump I used 3 roller filters. I heard so much good about them and I was desperate to have them. At the same time, in my business, we are dealing with high-end residential customers. Quite a few of them have marine aquariums and they are maintained by the most reputable companies in London. Knowing these customers, I can guarantee you they spend the money needed...
