Qantas 747-438/ER [VH-OEG] - Pushback & Departure from Brisbane - 30 September 2014

So, after overnighting in the Brisbane Airport area, it was time to board this special flight - my first flight on a 747-400ER (note the ER), my first flight in Business class and the last domestic sector of QF8 that would be flown from Brisbane to Sydney as the route was shifted over to A380&from this time forward. The experience, even for a 1.5 hour flight was awesome. Sitting in front of the engines was something already and the Business class cabin was reasonably empty and spacious with top service from our attendants. I was hoping for an upper deck seat but even several months before this flight there were none available. Check out the view, some video of the seat and legroom and the takeoff to the north from Runway 01 before turning south over the coast.
