Unfortunately, as a Rolex owner, GMT Master II (Batman version) and Submariner, due to certain circumstances, I don’t feel comfortable wearing my Rolexes while I’m out and about; hence, I need a watch that I won’t mind losing to malfeasant individuals. In comes the 42mm Hamilton Khaki Automatic. It’s a nice-looking and durable watch. I’ve done water tests with this watch, and, so far...so good. I have 30 days to determine if this watch meets its stated specifications. I uploaded my shower and dunking videos to this review. I dunked the watch into a measuring cup, and I let it sit submerged for about 20 minutes. So far, no leaks. It holds its time well...it’s is coming up on one week, and it still holds the time I set it to. I changed out the leather band to a Blue Shark NATO strap — Blue/grey stripes: James Bond style. The lume rating is 5 out of 10...I know comparing it to my Rolexes’ lume ain’t fair, but that’s all I have as a basis. The lume is readable at night and lasts a good amount of time...about 5 mins or so...both my Rolexes’ lume lasts all through the night. The version I have uses the H10 movement and the back casing doesn’t mention anything about stainless steel nor sapphire crystal...it’s the newer version. Hamilton went to the sparse back casing for their newer H10 production models. I went to Macy’s and Nordstrom’s, and they all have the newer H10 versions with sparse writing on the back casing. My watch has the warranty card; hence, for future...
