Jaguar X-type intake manifold removal - inlet gaskets replacement

Today&video is the first part of the series about Jaguar X-type intake manifold removal. This video covers the process of a 2.1 V6 O-ring intake gaskets replacement. Here I show you how I remove 2.1 engine compatible upper and lower inlet gaskets and install the OEM ones. Specially for my viewers I compared these two options and explained their properties in details . I make use of compatible gaskets in case of utmost necessity, when there are no OEM parts available. Though I don&urge anybody to do the same. The part number of Jaguar X-type 2.1 V6 gaskets are as follows: LOWER GASKETS: OEM: JAGUAR 2.1 C2S12588 Compatible: CHRYSLER, MINICOOPER ELRING 486.040 UPPER GASKETS: OEM: JAGUAR 2.1 C2S19327 Compatible: VAG 06E 198 717 (VW, AUDI) ELRING 232.910 Besides, I show you the consequence of unscrewing and tightening the bolts securing the intake manifold so that to reduce the risk of tearing the bronze inserts out of the lower plastic part of the manifold.
