The Yamaha Raider is powered by a 113 cubic-inch, air-cooled, V-Twin OHV, 1854cc engine that&been tuned to deliver peak performance between 2,500 and 4,500 rpms. Built upon a light aluminum-cast double-cradle frame with a six-degree yoke angle, the Raider is incredibly agile and responsive for such a low and long bike. The low 27.3 inch seat height aids in the bike&maneuverability, and ensures the rider is comfortable and confident at all times. Shifting on the 2009 Yamaha Raider is controlled by a smooth-operating five-speed manual transmission with multi-plate wet clutch, and fuel delivery is handled with perfect precision, thanks to the bike&Twin-Bore electronic fuel injection, and throttle position sensor. Ignition is easy and reliable, as the Yamaha Raider is outfitted with an innovative transistor controlled ignition system that helps ensure a strong start in every situation. The bike&wheels offer a smooth and seamless ride, with a 70.9 inch wheelbase with 5.1 inches of travel up front, and 3.5 inches of travel at the rear.
