In this video, we can see the safe and smooth introduction of any sheath or catheter, without needing to use a scalpel. The device’s ergonomic design facilitates needle handling. When the vessel is punctured, and the guidewire introduced, the needle is removed. Once outside the body, slight pressure on the clip, at the base of the needle, releases the device’s wedge component. With three fingers, the wedge is slid down the guidewire, back to the skin.
