Federal Signal EOWS 612, Alert, Attack, Voice: Mt. Vernon, IL (Jefferson Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD

Copyright 2016, Brandon Mendel (Please use with permission). Originally Recorded 6/7/2016 Here&Mt. Vernon&newest 612 which is the only siren in the system that hasn&been upgraded to UV. This siren instead has MCP and is located by Summersville Grade School atop a slender, steel pole. If you watched my previous videos of this system, not much is different with this one. It did, however, have a softer windup which seems to be pretty normal for MCP sirens. The DSA by my house does the exact same thing. However, one interesting thing that did occur was how during the end of the live voice announcement you could hear the DTMF tones play through the siren. It was pretty cool since the other 612s I recorded never did that. Overall, the siren sounded healthy (much better than that other one I recorded) and everything looked like it was in great condition as well. No problems to report.
