I got this Yinfente 5-string violin 2 years ago and have been using it as my main instrument for live and studio work since that time. It has metal guitar-like tuners which made it possible to switch the tailpiece for a &style slanted one. This gave a little extra tension to hold the low 5th string in tune, tho it is still a bit wobbly. The instrument is also much louder with the tuner-less tailpiece. This was recorded directly with a phone without further mixing, to give a raw representation of the acoustic sound. The pickup is built into a slot for the bridge. To record with the pickup or to use it with an amp, it does not require batteries and it uses a standard 1/4" jack (visible on the side near the shoulder rest). I compared it to a few other affordable violins (both 4 and 5 strings, electric/silent and electric/acoustic) and stuck with this one for the overall reliability and sound. (This is an improv performance, inspired by jigs, reels, ragas, and etudes) (I have been learning violin/fiddle since early 2018) (This is my first youtube upload)
