Discrete Random Variable, Probability Mass Function, Cumulative Distribution function and probabiity density function are discussed in this lecture. Random variable is the rule that assigns numerical value to each possible outcomes of an experiment. If sample space of an experiment is discrete then corresponding random variable is also discrete. Discrete random variables with finite elements and infinite elements are explained in this lecture with examples of tosses of a fair coins. Discrete Random Variable, Probability Mass Function, Cumulative Distribution function and probability density function and their properties are explained with examples in this video.
