It&great to appreciate the work that was crafted before as it has shaped the games that we play today. I don&remember how many stages were in the game however, I can confirm that there are familiar characters who have made appearances in the later games: Gen, Sagat, Adon, Birdie. This is the full walkthrough to the original Street Fighter game (1987) and man is this game difficult, SAGAT IS THE PROOF OF THAT, It is surely the hardest game you will encounter out of the whole series however, I do recommend that everyone gives this game try and relieve a solid memory of Street Fighter that was engraved in 1987. The game does not give you control of a variety of characters in fact Street Fighter 1987 only gives you access to Ryu, the only option you have in the game is whether to choose if you want your fight to start from Japan or USA.
