At the beginning of July 2023, Voge presented the modern cruiser – or rather bobber – CU 525 with an in-line two-cylinder engine from Loncin and final drive via a toothed belt. In Europe, the Voge CU 525 is expected for 2024 - with 48 hp. Mid-range cruisers or mid-range bobbers with low weight and - above all - with a low seat height are in great demand in many countries. Also in Germany, here especially for beginners or smaller people. The most popular in Germany are the Honda CMX 500 Rebel (in-line two-cylinder, 471 cc, 47 hp) and the Kawasaki Vulcan S (in-line two-cylinder, 649 cc, 61 or 48 hp). In the German motorcycle registration statistics for 2022, the Rebel came in 10th place with 1,413 new registrations, and the Vulcan S in 23rd place with 1,017 new registrations. The Chinese manufacturer and BMW partner Loncin presented a similar concept with its own brand Voge at the beginning of July 2023: the CU 525 Voge CU 525, type LX-500-3, with two-cylinder in-line engine The Voge CU 525, internal type designation LX-500-3, is powered by the current in-line two-cylinder engine that Loncin produces for its Voge models and for some other motorcycle manufacturers. This modern engine was initially based on Honda&CB 500 engine, i.e. water-cooled, fuel injection, double overhead camshafts (dohc), 4 valves per cylinder and 471 cc. The newer version of Loncin comes to 494 cc, and the Voge models equipped with it are generously called "525" instead of "500" for marketing purposes.
