Let&prepare a typical African village meal together. In this video, I show you how to prepare matooke, posho (ugali) and groundnut stew, the traditional way. Steamed matooke is the staple food for people living in Central Uganda and it is peeled and prepared using banana leaves tied firmly with banana fibers. When the matooke is changes from cream (hard and raw) to yellow (soft and ready), it is pressed to make it more digestible. The grounut sauce is left to simmer on low heat till it produces its own oil, that&when you know that it is ready to be served.
