Deep pink Polyantha type of rose named Lovely Fairy. Discovered by Hette Spek (Netherlands, 1990). Introduced in United Kingdom by Dickson Nurseries Ltd. / Dickson Roses in 1994 as &Fairy'. Patio, Polyantha, Shrub. Deep pink. Mild to strong, fruity fragrance. 21 to 36 petals. Average diameter 1.25". Small, very double, in large clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Lovely Fairy produces beautiful and profuse 1” blooms with 20+ petals on a very disease-resistant and winter hardy rose. She thrives down to zone 4! Her clusters of petite blooms cover the well-foliaged little bush and add a delightful touch to floral arrangements. Enjoy this “lovely” continual blooming as a sweet touch to any whimsical garden. Height: 16" to 4&(40 to 120cm). Width: 2&to 4&(60 to 120cm). USDA zone 4b through 10b. Can be used for ground cover. Shade tolerant. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you&probably find you&have to prune a little more than that.
