Denon DCD-3000 A very unique player with 4 x PCM-1702 DACs, DAC Input (!) and balanced output. +Mor

This player was brought to me with faults of unreliable reading and tray that kept retracting. The reading, which was almost perfect in my tests might be helped with slight laser power increase (form its very low 0.06mW level) and the tray retraction should be dealt with by cleaning of the limit switch. But what is interesting, is that this unit has list of features found in player in $2000+ category. - 4 x Burr-Brown PCM-1702 laser trimmed, resistor ladder DAC ccips - balanced outputs (which XLR connectors I plan to replace) - digital inputs to the DACs; both Toslink and SPDIF - absolute phase inversion Quality built and with Sony KSS-240A laser mechanism, it is not an ordinary player.
