The six-cylinder turbo petrol tuned by engineers with Ferrari background delivers 510 HP and a torque in excess of 600 Nm for exhilarating performance: for instance, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds, while its top speed is 307 km/h. Among other things, although the horsepower and torque values are exceptional, the unprecedented engine is also best in class in terms of emission levels (198 g/km of CO2) and it is surprisingly cheap to run, thanks to the electronically-controlled cylinder disabling system. Clearly, like all next-generation engines, whether petrol or diesel, this 6-cylinder is entirely made of aluminium, to minimise the car&absolute weight, especially on the front axle, for a genuine Alfa Romeo roar.
