When the beautiful Birdie Pruitt takes part in a television talk show, she has no idea what horror awaits her. Before the movie camera is turned on, she suddenly finds out that her husband is having an affair with her best friend. Birdie&seemingly perfect life is ruined. Deeply disappointed, she and her young daughter travel to Smeyville to find solace with her mother. Of course, the former beauty queen, who now remains at the broken trough, is a tasty morsel for small Texas towns. However, when she meets her old friend and admirer Justin again, it becomes clear to her that she finally has to pull herself together. Love, fear and doubt.
